Vladivostok

The development of the Far Eastern Federal District is one of the priorities of the Russian government — the program for the development of the Far East until 2035 has been approved. During this period, at least 450 thousand new jobs should be created in the region, follows from the document. In addition, the development of new tourist clusters is planned in each of the 11 constituent entities of the district.

The Far Eastern Federal District is actively developing. Special economic zones have already been created on its territory, including:

  • The Free Port of Vladivostok (FPV) is a territory that enjoys special customs, tax and administrative regulations
  • 18 TAD — territories of advanced development. TADs have a strict industrial specialization. For example, the Khabarovsk TAD focuses on industry and logistics, the Nadezhdinskoye TAD focuses on timber processing, and the Belogorsk TAD focuses on agriculture. Depending on the specialization, business from Russia and abroad chooses a specific TOP for the implementation of their project. Another key advantage is that TADs provide residents with basic infrastructure and communications.

To ensure comfortable living conditions for people on the territory of the Far Eastern Federal District, major cities will launch programs for the renovation of the urban environment, public spaces and the street network, including the transfer of large industrial and logistics facilities from city centers. The preferential rate on mortgage loans will also continue to operate: 2% per annum for young families, 5% per annum for families with children. In 2021, residents of the Far Eastern Federal District will be able to buy tickets to Moscow at subsidized prices (from 8 to just over 10 thousand rubles per ticket). It is planned to carry about 450,000 passengers per year.

The Russian developer of high-tech prostheses Motorika intends to open an R&D office and a research center in the Far East together with the Medical Center of the Far Eastern Federal University. The project will be implemented by the support of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Far Eastern High-Tech Fund.
